Crock Pot baked apples

Go ahead and spoil yourself with these baked apples. Easy to make and really good. What more do you want? A delicious meal for breakfast, dessert or snack. No Crock Pot or slow cooker? Doesn't matter. You can also make this Paleo dessert (or breakfast) by baking the apples in an oven at 425°F for 30-45 minutes.

Roughly chop the walnuts (you can also use pecans).

Remove the center core and peel about a quarter of the peel away at the top of each apple.

Mix the coconut blossom sugar, raisins, cinnamon and walnuts in a bowl and fill the appels with the mixture. Push down the filling with your fingers.

Put the apples in the Crock Pot and pour the water on the bottom (approximately 1/4 inch).

Put 1 (small) tablespoon of ghee on top of each apple.

Put the lid on the Crock Pot and cook the apples for approximately 5-6 hours (on the low setting) until soft.
