Apple sauce
For a moment I thought I was working on an apple pie. What a wonderful smell came from our slow cooker. And it wasn't even turned on yet! Only pieces of apple with cinnamon were in it. Apple sauce is super easy to make. Especially in the slow cooker. So get rid of that ready-made pot. Full of added sugars, e numbers and other junk. Adding sugar to the apple sauce is not necessary if you have the opportunity to combine sweet and slightly more acidic apples for your apple sauce. Oh yes, our Spanish neighbor hadn't eaten apple sauce in 20 years. He loved it!
