Roughly chop the pecans and dry roast in a frying pan for 2 minutes.
Take the nuts out of the pan.
Cut the bacon into strips and fry in the frying pan until crispy.
Take out of the pan and leave to drain on a paper towel.
Cut the dates into small pieces.
Divide the mixed lettuce over 2 plates.
Divide the dates, bacon and pecans over the salad.
Mix the oil, lemon juice and maple syrup in a bowl and drizzle over the salad.
