Acai bowl with mango

As you may know, I have been a fan of acai for quite some time! This little purple berry is a power antioxidant and I like to use powder through my smoothies, juices, bars and banana ice cream. However, my bowl never became as beautiful as the real acai bowls that you see on Instagram and Pinterest. This is because normal use is made of acai pulp instead of powder. Until last month, this pulp was not available in the Netherlands, but there was Amazonia! You understand that I immediately wanted and had to test the pulp! Acai is a purple berry that grows in the Amazon rainforest. When harvested correctly, the acai berry retains a tremendous amount of important nutrients and a high content of antioxidants. Acai berries (for illustrative purposes) contain about 40x more antioxidants than a blueberry and 10 times more antioxidants than spirulina! Saving enough to add some acai to your smoothie every day, right ?! Therefore today a delicious recipe for an acai bowl made with acai pulp. You can of course use acai powder but the taste will be very different because the taste of this pulp is really the end !!
