Smoothies & (Smoothie) Bowls
Oatmeal has become an indispensable part of the foodie kitchen. Everyone uses it, everyone loves it and everyone varies with it. From oat pizzas to oatmeal muffins and from bircher muesli to pancakes. I have already seen so many tasty recipes that I have been hooked for at least two years. When I walk into the organic shop, a big bag of oats (flakes) is the first thing I grab because oh woe, I would forget it, then my whole week will be in the soup! I eat oatmeal daily and often twice. I don't know how this grain got it done but I really can't live without it! Sometimes it seems as if the basis for every recipe for me is oatmeal. In itself nothing wrong with this because these flakes are very healthy. They are packed with soluble fiber (these provide a long feeling of satiety, without craving something sweet to get through the morning? Then start your day with some oatmeal). Oatmeal is naturally gluten-free, ideal for people with celiac disease. These grains are packed with antioxidants, which protect your body from external damage. Furthermore, as I wrote before, you can combine very well with oatmeal and a cup of oatmeal is easily made! Just don't have that bowl of oatmeal on my blog yet! Last week I scrolled through my recipes and I laughed, already posted so much but barely written about oatmeal. That must change! Fortunately, the weather is no longer for a hot breakfast (I'm glad the winter is over, let that heat come!) This oatmeal can also be eaten very well cold.
