Place a few wooden satay skewers in a bowl of water.
Clean the mushrooms and put them in a low bowl.
Mix the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, thyme and a pinch of salt and pepper in another bowl. Also press the clove of garlic in it.
Pour this over the mushrooms and let them marinate for 20 minutes. Stir and mix them occasionally.
Put the mushrooms on the skewers (about 6 per skewer).
Heat a grill pan over medium heat and cook until the mushrooms are done.
