Cut the onion into half rings, the meat into cubes, the celery into slices and finely chop the garlic.
Heat the coconut oil in a frying pan and gently fry the onions. Add the garlic and then the meat, carrot, celery and paprika powder.
Pour the stock into the pan and bring to the boil.
Let the dish simmer on a very low heat for 4 hours. You can also put the pan in the oven at 300°F, or follow the instructions for the slow cooker as indicated below. (see step 7)
Season the braised beef to taste with salt and pepper just before serving.
Fry the cauliflower rice in a pan with some coconut oil and serve with the hachee.
If you use the slow cooker: Prepare this dish a day in advance. The next day the flavors are even better, and then you only have to warm it up for a little while.
If you have a slow cooker you can also add the ingredients for the braised beef in the morning, and let it cook for 8 hours on the low setting for hours. Then it is ready in the evening when you get home from work.
