Dice the stewing steak.

Cut the onions into half rings, finely chop the garlic cloves.

Slice the carrot.

Finely chop the red cabbage and the apples.

Mix the ingredients for the braised beef together in a slow cooker and switch it on high setting. Let the dish cook in 4 hours. Are you using the InstantPot? Then set this to Manual – High Pressure – 45 minutes, set the lever in the lid to Sealing.

For the red cabbage with apple, heat the coconut oil in a large frying pan and gently fry the onions.

Add the red cabbage and cook, while stirring, in about 10 minutes.

Mix the apples, cinnamon and pepper and salt into the dish and fry for a few minutes.

Serve the red cabbage with apple with the braised beef.
