Peel the sweet potato and cut into cubes, peel and roughly chop the garlic. Chop the onion.

Place the boneless back ribs into the slow cooker and add the remaining ingredients. Rub the herbs and spices into the meat.

Switch the slow cooker on the low setting and cook the meat for 8 hours.
