Chop the red onion and roughly chop the walnuts.

Heat a pan over medium heat and fry the bacon until crispy.

In the meantime, peel the melon and cut the flesh into cubes. Cut the carrot into long ribbons using a peeler.

Combine spinach, melon, carrot and onion in a large bowl and add the crispy bacon and walnuts.
