Oven baked pork chops with apple

Try making your chops a different way for a change: with a crusty topping and an apple from the oven. This is again one of those recipes that people will love. Children will enjoy them, especially the sweet apple. Make a large portion of vegetables (or 2) to accompany them and maybe some sweet potatoes and you have a delicious and filling meal.

Preheat the oven to 325°F and lightly grease an oven dish.

Snipper the onion and peel the apple. Dice the apple.

Dab the chops dry using a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.

Melt the half of the ghee in a frying pan and fry the chops for a couple of minutes on a high heat on both sides.

Take the chops out of the pan, spread on both sides with mustard and place in the oven dish.

Fry the smoked bacon strips crispy in the remaining fat in the frying pan.

Add the onion and apple and fry for a couple of minutes.

Divide this mixture over the chops in the oven dish.

Sprinkle with the almond flour and divide the rest of the ghee over the oven dish.

Put into the oven and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown and the chops are cooked.
