Soak the dates in warm water for 5-10 minutes, then drain.
Put the dates, walnuts and gingerbread spices in the food processor and grind until you have an even mass. Add the water if your food processor is having too much trouble with it. Scrape the sides in between (when the food processor is off) so that everything is mixed well.
Turn balls of the mixture and place on a plate.
