Cut the onion, bell pepper, tomatoes and figs. Put the figs in a container with lukewarm water
and let it soak for about 10 minutes. The figs should be just under water.
Put a stockpot on the stove and heat a dash of (coconut) oil. Bin
add the onion and after about 2 minutes add the garlic (pressed) and ginger (grated
or chopped). Mix well.
Now add the tomatoes and bell pepper and let it gently fry for about 3 minutes.
Drain the figs and add them together with the ground cumin seeds. Stir well.
Now add 400 ml of boiled water and bring to a boil. Add the cinnamon stick
and bay leaf and let it simmer for 20 minutes to soften the vegetables and absorb the flavors.
Meanwhile, bake the bread according to the packaging method.
After 15 minutes, remove the cinnamon stick and bay leaf from the soup and mash with a
blender. Season with salt and pepper if necessary.
